• My blog’s traffic has grown significantly every single month since I started it over two years ago. This past month I decided to give this plugin a try to see how it might improve my traffic even further. After using it for four weeks, I am now removing it from my blog because this is the first month my site’s traffic has ever decreased. In fact, it decreased by 10,000 visitors over the course of the month. Maybe the plugin should be titled “All-In-One Lose Traffic Pack” instead.

  • Could it be that you did not configure it properly? I am using AIO-SEO too and I am quite happy with it.

I configured it the best way I know how based on my previous SEO research.

Chances are, it has nothing to do with the awesome plugin this guy made, it’s probably because you significantly changed the structure of your titles. The old titles had worked their way into the search engines and now you’ve changed ’em.

Sometimes it takes a bit for the new titles to take effect with Google and the like. Changes like these sometimes really affect traffic, negatively initially, however, if you hold on for a sec, generally it’ll really pay off just after the short-run.

My client’s site, whom I implemented this plugin for, is frickin’ blowing up right now. I made some other changes/additions that really hurt traffic though, but after a month or so, they’re starting to dominate Google for some relatively high traffic keyword phrases…number one spots. This plugin rocks!

    Peace.

I highly recommend this plugin. I have installed it on every single (non-dev) WordPress blog I’ve used.
If you know how to use it then it works really well, and you can save a tremendous amount of time and effort.

I specifically configured the plugin not to change my titles, though, since they were already in the format that the plugin wanted to change them to:

    POST TITLE | BLOG NAME

Strange. I never had a negative impact from this plugin as soon as Google started using the new titles and descriptions my click through rates increased drastically.

What was your perm link structure before you installed?

Hey people, i was wondering whether it works for you guys? And what should i do to tweak it better? I have been using it for the past 3 weeks yet my click rate is still the same.

JHouse is right on – whatever traffic loss you noticed after installing this plugin is either coincidental, or related to large scale changes in title/meta info on already ranked pages.

I’ve had significant experience with this plugin, and there just isnt anything in it that could penalize a user – outside of a short term loss due to reindexing/significant cache changes.
