    I’ve been using this plugin for a very long time (and also donated because it’s quite simply the best SEO plugin available for WordPress!).

    However I seem to have found something which is causing performance issues.

    As default, the plugin inserts 3 extra columns to the following pages in the dashboard:
    POSTS->ALL POSTS
    PAGES->ALL PAGES

    The three columns are:
    SEO TITLE
    SEO KEYWORDS
    SEO DESCRIPTION

    For me, these add no value whatsoever to any of my (or my clients) websites. They just clutter up the page & make all the important info look messy, due to reducing the width of the columns. I’m not alone here either – if you take a look in Google you’ll see what I mean.

    I’m not sure when this feature was added exactly, but I’ve today found out that it’s what’s causing those pages to load slowly on my (and my clients’) websites.

    After a bit of digging around, I realised that you can actually disable these un-needed columns within the AIOSP settings page (for anyone else who’s wondering; to do so, you just need to un-check POSTS & PAGES in the “Custom Post Types for SEO Column Support” section).

    However the point I’d like to make is that surely it’d be best to have these disabled as default? Let the user choose if they want them added or not?

    Perhaps you could run a poll to see what works best for users of your plugin?

    I’m glad you found this useful jwatto, however I seem to recall the plugin has now been re-worked (for the better, might I add)

    Hi Tom,

    You can also turn off these columns in All in One SEO Pack. Go to General Settings, Display Settings and uncheck the boxes next to Show Column Labels for Custom Post Types.

    @wpsmort I’m aware of that – please check the date this was originally posted. I’ll forgive you though (since you’re a fellow Gooner!)

    Can a mod please bury this thread? Ta
