• Hello there,

I am creating a community calendar by which I want viewers to be able to filter based on three factors:
    1) The type of event (class, workshop, performance, etc)
    2) The topic of the event (music, dance, visual art, etc)
    3) The region the event is happening in (metro area, north of city, east of city, etc)

So I set up Categories for the event type. And then made tags such as “Location – N. City”, “Location – Metro”, and “Topic – Music”, “Topic – Dance”, and so on.

I thought that the filters could be set by Category AND Tags, such that people could toggle multiple taxonomies and drill down/filter down the results to just what they are looking for. But it looks like they can be filtered by Category OR Tag, thus INCREASING the results with each toggle. Am I correct in this?

    So for instance, I have A, B, and C categories, and I have X, Y, and Z tags.

I thought if I chose A & Z, I would get only events which were BOTH A and Z. But it looks like I get all events which are EITHER A OR Z.

Is there any way to cross-reference taxonomies to create more detailed filtering?

I was working with the Events Manager plug in in my test environment up until recently, which had this ability, but there were other show-stopper limitations on that plug-in which sent me on yet another event calendar hunt. All-In-One Event Calendar is now the closest I have come to finding everything I am looking for in a calendar, except for filtering by multiple taxonomy. Any help or suggestions would be wonderful.
