[Plugin: All-in-One Event Calendar] Manually update core calendar files

    Following an update of the all-in-one-event-calendar to version 1.8.2, I have the following message displayed in top of all my admin pages:

    All-in-One Event Calendar Notice

    Core calendar files are out of date. We have found updates for some of your core calendar files and you should update them now to ensure proper functioning of your calendar.

    Warning: If you have previously modified any core calendar files, your changes may be lost during update. Please make a backup of all modifications before proceeding.

    Once you are ready, please update your core calendar files.

    WordPress is installed on a personal server where I do not want toinstall a FTP server, I make the upgrades using my own scripts directly on the server.

    Therefore, I would like to know waht I have to do to update the “Core calendar files” and make the notice disapear.

    Thank you for your answer. Unfortunatly, I’ve laready copied the files as described in the article (otherwise the Calendars where not displayed properly). But the notification is still there ??

    Do you know exactly what’s the plugin looks for so I’ll make it find it?

    With version 1.9, it I had the message “The All-in-One Event Calendar core theme files are out of date and the calendar has been temporarily disabled blablabla”, even with files copied in the right place as described in the support article https://help.time.ly/customer/portal/articles/578311-what-are-%22core-calendar-files%22-and-why-do-they-need-updating-

    As I’m not a WordPress specialiste and as I don’t know how to set screen Option to the required value, I finaly changed the code in “all-in-one-event-calendar/app/controller/class-ai1ec-themes-controller.php” making the “frontend_outdated_themes_notice” function always return an empty string.

    Just to be clear, are you saying that you fixed this issue and that your calendar is now working as normal without the error message?

    If you still have the error message and the support article did not resolve this, please submit a ticket at [email protected] Ideally, please include your WP admin access, so we can take a closer look.

    Sorry if I wasn’t clear yesterday, perhaps a bit in a hurry to make the website up-and-running again ??

    I did not “fix” the code, as I basically made frontend_outdated_themes_notice to always return an empty string, which seems to be the correct behavior when theme version check are successful.

    With this “fix”:
    * On the frontend, calendar and calendar widget is back, I don not have the notice anymore
    * On the backend, I still have a message form aioec complaining about unupdated core files.

    I hope it’s clearer ?? Basically, I would love to have a clear procedure to apply when upgrading the plugin manually.

    I am having the same issue with version 1.10 and I cannot get the links provided above to work. I tried to go to the forum to find the method for manually updating the core calendar files but can’t find it.

    I’ve had a lot of issues with the Calendar plugin lately. Are there known plugin conflicts.

    When I tried to up the the core calendar theme I just got a blank page. When I refreshed the same message showed up.

    Please help.
