[Plugin: All-in-One Event Calendar] jQuery conflict with SEO by Yoast

  • Plugin version 1.8.2

    On the Titles & Metas page of the SEO plugin there is no content displayed when All-in-one Event Calendar is also active. I get this scripting error:

    TypeError: allday.get(0) is undefined in jquery.timespan.js line 305

    allday.data( 'timespan.initial_value', allday.get(0).checked );

    Plugin authors in general should load their scripts only on the admin pages that needs it.

    Hi Knut,

    Thank you for bringing this plugin conflict to our attention. In order to be put this appropriately in our dev team’s list of priorities, please can you tell me if this makes either the ai1ec or the SEO plugin unusable? Or does it disable any of the functions/features of either plugin?

    It seems to make it impossible to configure the SEO plugin, as the options screen are blank. I don’t know, but I doubt the functionality is harmed, as long as one configures that plugin with the ai1ec deactivated.

    Thanks for elaborating, Knut. Seeing as the functionality remains in tact (albeit through temporarily de-activating the ai1ec plugin), this plugin conflict will likely not be placed at the top of our priority list, however if many other users consider this a big barrier to using the ai1ec then I will escalate this to the dev team.

    The issue is not resolved.

    As long as this plugin, and many plugins, continues to spill their scripts all over the admin pages, there will be more such conflicts.

    If you use the admin_enqueue_scripts hook, there is a parameter passed to the callback. Check this before printing the script.

    Hello Richard,

    this problem is stopping more plugins from functioning correctly.
    By disabling All-in-one Event Calendar the problem goes away but if you enable it again it goes haywire again. It is not very good to disable it when people are looking at the calendar on the site.

    Could you please take a look at this or do you know of a way to bypass this?
