• Hi,
I am interested in abou instance_id parametr whitch is at events. My permalinks are /%postname%/ but in ai1ec it is different. All events has /%postname%/?instence_id=X where X is a number. Problem is, that lets say analytics scores one page /my-event/ 10times! Like /my-event/?instance_id=5, than ?instance_id=10 (after changin lets say description), but it is still one and only event with permalink /my-event/. Do you understand what I mean? Why ai1ec events has their ids? On my widget newest comments I see /my-event/?instance_id=#comment-XY so instance_id is missing. I understand an instance_ids like a revisions of one event (revision of a post), am I right or not? Or has instance_ids any special function?

    Thank you for an answer.

  • Hi,

A single event can have multiple instances due to repeating instances. So if you set up your birthday to repeat yearly, it is 1 event but each year the link points to a different instance of that event

That is true, I missed that, but if someone comment an event, there is no instance_id. It is empty like ?instance_id= So what happen after one year period if somebody add a comment into event?? Is it a template problem or a bug or it does not matter? Do you have the same experience with empty instance_ids in default latest comment widget?
