    Hi shanafourde,

I have tried importing your calendar feed and I get a “no events were found” message. This can happen when the Google calendar has not been made public. Please check that you have made the Google calendar public, then try again to import the feed.

The calendar is public, and has been public all through my testing process.

In Google I have “Share this calendar with others” checked, and “make this calendar public” is checked. With the option “See all event details” selected.

I don’t know why this topic was marked as resolved.

I am still having the problem. Can anyone help?

    Hi shanafourde,

Sorry, I was getting a bit ahead of myself and assumed this was the issue. However, it is probably something else. I tried validating your feed here:

    https://feedvalidator.org

And it says that your feed could not be validated / found. Therefore, I think something is wrong with the feed. I added ics to the end of your feed, but this did not make a difference. Please double check the feed.

Also, does this happen for all google calendars you try to export, or just this one?

Isn’t that validator for RSS and ATOM feeds? None of my Google Calendars validate with that site. Even those that work with other WordPress calendar plugins. I really like how this plugin looks, so I hope I can get it to work. ??

My feed does validate with https://severinghaus.org/projects/icv/

Have you been able to successfully use any Google Calendars with this plugin? I have tried multiple Google Calendars with this plugin and haven’t been able to get any of them to work.

    Hi shanafourde,

Yes, sorry, wrong link. The feed validator I used is:

    https://icalvalid.cloudapp.net/

But the reason it would not validate is actually my fault – I was copying the link from this forum and not all the link is shown unless you scroll along. Once I copied the entire link, it actually does validate. Furthermore, when using the entire link, it also imports successfully into my calendar. Therefore, we can pinpoint the issue to your end: This has happened before with other users and often is due to the user using an older version of PHP. Please ensure you are using the latest version of PHP, then try importing the feed.

    I am using PHP 5.3.14
Is that good enough? I am on shared hosting, so I don’t think I can upgrade on my own.

    The feed still isn’t importing.

I have the latest WordPress and all my plugins are up to date.

has anyone idea what the problem here is? Im also on wordpress shared hosting and a validated feed isnt displaying for me either.

Also, the buttons dont seem to work on the calender page too.

The feed seems to be picking up now- maybe put on the ics feed section of the info site that there’s sometimes a delay on the feed pick up guys- it’ll stop the likes of me annoying you ??

RE: jjsbetteroff – Glad to hear that the events are now importing.

RE: shanafourde – the feed works, so the only thing I can suggest is that you ask your hosting provider to download the latest version of php. Alternatively, try what jjsbetteroff did and leave the feed for a day in case there is a lag time.

It has been over 2 weeks with no new posts, so I am marking this thread as “resolved.”

I still haven’t gotten the plugin to work, but I am giving up on it for this site. I find it very odd that it won’t work with PHP 5.3.14 (if that really is the issue).

Sorry to hear that, shanafourde. One other thing to try is changing the hosting company – we had one user report that certain hosting companies seem to prevent ICS imports from working (not sure why – BUT this might be worth trying…)

My host is Lunarpages… I’ll try testing on other sites that are hosted there. It may be their problem, but it is hard to get hosts to change settings on shared hosting accounts. I have gotten other calendar programs to work on it, but I liked the look of All-in-one the best. Oh well, I will use it on other websites, this one just isn’t meant to be.
