• that’s why now I’m afraid doing ANY plugin update… did you do tests before releasing it? as user, it’s incredible to lose so much time after a “simple” update while everything was working fine before.

I hate and I’m sorry to sound like this and hope I’ll get a fix soon.

The problem : clicking on an event doesn’t show it but “We are sorry, the item you requested cannot be found.” what happened? is there someone else with this problem?

I installed the 1.8 version from timely website, manually, as the auto update from wp-dashboard screwed the display. But in that occasion, events pages were displaying…

    Thanks for your help.

same thing with a new event created after the update.

    @gelivan
How did the autoupdate fail? The autoupdate is not supposed to fail. Was there a problem in copying the theme files?

it didnt fail. but then I got display issues on thr calendar pages. anyway now I have a fatal error with any version. like mentionned in that other post.

    Try the following steps:
    1. Deactivate the plugin – if you cannot login to deactivate it, simple rename the folder to something else, like “all-in-one-new”
    2. FTP to your server
    3. Delete wp-content/themes-ai1ec folder
    4. Delete wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar folder
    5. Download v1.8.2 from time.ly website
    6. Unzip the downloaded archive
    7. Upload unzipped all-in-one-event-calendar folder to wp-content/plugins
    8. Login to your wordpress dashboard: domain.com/wp-admin and activate all-in-one-event-calendar plugin
    9. You should be asked to install themes, follow the instructions.
    10. Check to see if the bug exists.
    11. Let me know the result.

    I followed all your steps:

    1. “no sufficient permission” after I pressed “empty cache” right after the activation.
    2. no more fatal error, my blog shows up, calendar page/widget is okay.
    3. my events are GONE.
    4. had access to the calendar settings at first, via the message asking me to set it up. but after that, I don’t see the settings option in Events menu.

    where are my events?

Settings option is located in Settings menu -> Calendar
Events cannot be deleted if you followed my steps.
You only had to disable the calendar. If you uninstalled the calendar from WP menu (when you disable it, there is an option that says uninstall/delete I cannot recall exactly) If you clicked it, and removed the plugin with that functionality – it does delete your events. But if you followed the steps as I described them above, your events are not deleted and should be there.

damn, I did it previously, before all this… f*ck me! anyway, thanks for your help. I’ll work it out with re-creating google-indexed events.

hope all goes well with following updates ??

    cheers!

Yes, sorry for the trouble. When you uninstall the plugin there is a message that explains that your event data will be deleted :/

We are testing the plugin a lot before releasing it – 5 days of testing in our beta tester team and if a problem is found another 3 days are added to the testing period since the last bug is fixed. If you want to participate in our beta testing program let me know.

Due to this thread being over 1 month old (and no new responses), I am marking it as “resolved.”
