When you installed the plugin and you were asked to update your themes, did everything go smoothly?

No, v1.7 worked flawlessly; updated to 1.8 (various calendar buttons broken); updated to 1.8.1 (broken buttons fixed but calendar locked in current month view).

A colleague attempted to roll back to 1.7 – each time plugin is now activated we are locked out of the site; site disappears!

As well as finding a way to use your plugin properly again on our site, is there any way to retrieve the original calendar events data from backups (even a text file that can be copied n pasted, rather than start from the beginning?)

    Many thanks

    1. Create a ticket on help.time.ly
    2. Note that Yani sent you and you are requesting his help to fix your problem
    3. Provide details to your server – ftp + wp dashboard – and I will take it from there. Shouldn’t take me more than 5 minutes to fix it. I am open to sign any NDA.

Thanks! Re 3 does this mean my bluehost cpanel login details?

    @gowherescotland
cpanel login details will be enough + admin user access to your wordpress – username: admin and password

Thanks, on your site but can’t find how to open a ticket?

    Thanks Yani, message sent now!

Yani, sorry to chase but as things stand just now it looks like you’ve added a ‘CALENDAR’ page which is disturbing the layout of the site’s navigation bar, and you’ve reinstated a calendar on the ‘Trip Calendar’ page, but this calendar isn’t working.

Are you still working through the issues?

    Thanks a lot

I am, yes. Still adjusting the functionality but the bad news are that you have uninstalled the plugin at some point and that deleted all your events. There is no way to restore the events unless you have a backup of your database. I will check if that’s the case in your cpanel

    Thanks Yani!

    @ gowherescotland
I was able to restore the data from a database backup. I only restored events data. Your posts or anything else was not altered.
The reason the plugin was not working is because your theme had wp_footer() function commented out in footer.php file. It is required for the plugin (and wordpress) to function properly. Let me know if everything is okay.

Thanks very much, I have emailed a response about this:the wp-footer was edited as per wp guidelines to avoid future sql injection attacks (worth noting the calendar worked fine prior to plugin updating, and also with the wp-footer edited); the calendar still obscures the dropdown navigation menus.

the wp-footer was edited as per wp guidelines to avoid future sql injection attacks

    – Where are these guidelines?

worth noting the calendar worked fine prior to plugin updating, and also with the wp-footer edited

    – We were not using wp_footer() before, we were using wp_head() but now everything is loaded at the end of the page for faster loading.

the calendar still obscures the dropdown navigation menus.

    – That’s a theme issue, menu items need to have higher z-index to display on top of the calendar.

The theme issue you refer to is a new problem i.e. this anomaly wasn’t apparent when using the calendar pre-update. Can anything can be done to resolve this, or does it simply mean your plugin is no longer compatible with our site?

Regards SQL attack / wp-footer I believe it to be a commonly advised step to avoid sql injection spam.
