Eran, I wrote a plugin to interface with you calendar and generate an ical feed. I can email it to you so you can integrate it if you would like.

    Thanks Ryan!
    That would be awesome!

Hey I would love to get the ical feature aswell! How to get it??

    Ryan,

    Thanks again for the help.

I found a few things I’d like to customize before integration with the plugin, for example the time translation is not adjusting correctly to my timezone and is splitting single events into two separate instances in Outlook.

In the interest of not postponing the promised patch any longer than necessary, I’m going to hold off until the next release to insert the ical functionality into the plugin.

p.s. Any chance you’d be interested in whipping up a similar solution for an RSS feed? ??

    Eran,

Yeah I agree that the timezone implementation needs to be fixed. I did a ton of research on ical timezones and it’s pretty messy. For example, there is a daylight savings code segment that can be used but it isn’t recognized by google calendar, hence why i did it manually. Also, google calendar will miss interpret timezones such a US/Eastern… it’s alot of fun especially since google calendar refreshes your feed calendar once a day and you cant refresh manually. gg google

Ya, I might be able to do an rss feed, just give me some time ??

I am really looking forward to this feature. This is the best looking calendar plug in around. An subscription feed would make it the most useful!!! I can’t wait!!!

Plugin version 0.9.9.1 is now available for download.
Due to complications the iCal feature didn’t make this cut, but is scheduled for the following release.

    Hi Eran,

First, huge props on the calendar! It is the best calendar plugin I have used for WordPress.

Second, I’m curious as to how close the iCal integration is? Is this something that is still planned for a future release? I’m literally on the edge of my seat in anticipation, as this is the one feature that I sorely need.

Thanks Eran (and thanks Ryan for pushing along this iCal feature too!).

Given that I do this in my spare time, there are no definitive plans for a follow-up release. At present, I am in the process of evaluating the features for version 1.1 – to vote on specific issues of interest, visit the issue tracker and star any issues of interest.

    Thanks Eran!
