[Plugin: After the Deadline] Repeated Time Outs

  • Is the After the Deadline server down? Each time I hit spell check for the past few weeks, the loading wheel just keeps on spinning. I get a little JavaScript popup that says time out eventually. I was worried it was my installation, so I created a clean WP install with this plugin only on a new server. I was able to reproduce the problem there as well.

    I am also seeing the same error on the official demo site https://polishmywriting.com. It simply says “There was a problem contacting After the Deadline, please try again in a minute.”

  • I’m having the same issues and it is getting rather annoying.

    Time to start looking for a new plug in that offers the same functionality I guess. =/

    I’m glad I’m not the only one. I assumed that a lot more people were using this, but it might be a small user base.

    I’m considering installing it on my own server. Hopefully that isn’t too hard. I briefly skimmed the documentation, but didn’t look into it much.

    It has timed out on me CONSTANTLY since JetPack was released (I guess more people are trying to use it now which is causing the time outs).

    Really annoying… it was such a nice add-on. ??
