[Plugin: After the Deadline] AftertheDeadline Error Message after Plugin Deleted
-
I really liked After the Deadline on self-hosted websites until it was required as part of Automattic’s (Microsoft) jetpack and then I deleted it as well as all other jetpack components if I was using them.
It’s one thing to charge up front, but to sneak around and force self-hosted web site folk to be part of site visit numbers for wordpress.com – the real jetpak forced conponent is just like the Microsoft fascist side track for a period when they were getting sued everyday from every country around the world for ethical violations.
Since I disabled/deleted after the deadline plugin rather than be tracked as part of the site visits for wordpress.com, everything was OK for a while and now all of the sudden I get error message – “after the deadline can’t contact the server” which it is not suppose to be able to do for ANY reason anyway, since it was removed and as far as I know NO jetpack component is in use, unless Automattic is doing something under-handed once more.
Any suggestions to remove this after the deadline error message, would be greatly appreciated, as I am rapidly losing the once favorable impression I had of the Automattic folk?
