  • The Adwit-Banner-Manager is not a trojan nor any other kind of spyware, we are a serious company here !

I sent you an email with the subject: “Adwit-express/Adwit-Banner-Manager registration follow-up” because Adwit-express is the main platform allowing Adwit-Banner-Manager to run properly. in fact you can use even the Adwit-express interface or the wordpress one, but it is the same application (with more options if you use it from the Adwit-express side)

    Sorry for the misunderstanding ??

I forgot some things: we do not sell emails, we only use them to communicate with our users and try to give the best possible service. Regarding our terms, they are explicitly listed when you enable the plugin.

That’s not the point. The point is that the plugin registers the user’s e-mail address without asking permission or without warning.
You said “When using the Adwit banner manager you agree the terms as specified when you activate it.” in your e-mail, but you can’t do it witout notifying the user about that, and it wasn’t mentioned neither in the plugin nor at activation. So far the plugin leaks non-public information without warning.

We clearly indicated our terms in the description of the plugin Before you enable it:
?When using Adwit Banner Manager you agree to the terms of conditions of the Adwit Banner Manager User Agreement. ?

Please find below a direct link to our terms :
    https://www.adwit-express.com/images/adwit-banner-manager/User_agreement.pdf

Please find below the email section of our terms:

“ARTICLE 11 – TREATMENT OF PRIVACY DATA

Your email address will not be shared with, sold to, or accessible by any third party. As a client of Etineria, your email address is used only for communications between you and Etineria….”

Basically the email has 3 vocations:
    – Provide technical support
    – Ensure security in data transmission (data related to ads optimization) between the adwit-express platform and the Adwit Banner manager
    – Protect us against fraudulent use of our application

I agree wit OP here, the fact that an email-address has to be used is one thing. The fact that you decide to send an unwanted email under the moniker of support almost immediately after installing is what made me decide never to use this plugin ever again.
In my case, i hadn’t even set it all up, removed a widget from the sidebar and suddenly i found this email from you. Did i ask for it? NO! Do i want to receive mail from you? NO! Do i find the fact that you monitor the use of this plugin offensive in this case? YES!
If i need support, i will email you ok? Not the other way round.

This stuff is evil, don’t mention your terms, it seems they do violate privacy…
