• Had three different ACF groups – each with a specific location (a Page Template, a Post Category, etc.)

After upgrading to 2.1.4 (and making dbase changes), all locations have reverted to Post Type -> Post and when I try to update to, say, Page Template, I get the updated message, but the location still shows Post Type -> Post.

All my data for the various fields is still intact, but what’s happening now is that all fields for all groups are displaying on all pages, posts, and custom post types, defeating one of the important features of this plugin – clients should only see fields they need to see for a particular location!

NOTE: I was running 3.1.3 when I made the switch to ACF 2.1.4 I’ve tried the WP update to 3.2.1 after the fact in hopes that this might be resolved, but no luck.

UPDATE: Started going through the site – other than Title, NONE of the regular meta-boxes are showing for posts or pages – no Editor, no Excerpt, no Discussion etc. And none of these shows in Screen Options either… yikes! Pulling the plug in this plugin for the moment.

UPDATE 2: I noticed that the boxes for displaying regular WP meta-boxes were all unchecked in all ACF groups. Tried checking off Editor and the update in ACF worked (unlike trying to update Location), so at least now my client can see all her content again.

UPDATE 3: While having all ACF fields on all posts and pages isn’t ideal, I thought I could work with that for the moment. I needed to create a new ACF group, so I went to do that and the Add Field button doesn’t work. I can Publish the group, but can’t add any fields or give it a location.

Same problem… exactly. No fixes yet.
