    Hi,

Thank you for contributing so much! I think you have a great plugin, but… I’ve been having problems with the way the auto indent works.

I have WP 3.4.2 installed along with your 2.1.4 plugin, and am using FF 15.0.1 as a browser. In other words, I have the latest of everything installed.

Somehow, I put the program in such a state that every time I hit enter, the line would indent by one tab. Also, if I type this: <br when I hit / (to close the tag), it causes the line I’m working on to automatically indent.

So, I set both the tab indent and the block indent to 0. This created the second issue I came across. Once I did that, every time I hit / firefox freezes.

I really like the way your plugin works, especially given the ability to create files and folders. So I’m reluctant to switch to another. Maybe I corrupted the settings for your plugin or something? If you could suggest a fix for this, I’d appreciate it.

    Mike

  • Firstly, thanks for a very useful plugin…

Secondly, I also have strange auto-indenting going on in my setup. I use Firefox. and WordPress 3.4.1. The problem arises when I edit php files – I’ve not seen it with CSS.

I’m using version 2.1.4 of ACE and 15.0.1 of FF.

When I hit the / key, the insertion point often leaps to the right by about 30-40 characters. When I hit return, I sometimes land on the line below way out off-screen to the right, by about 50-60 characters, and have to delete a whole lot of white space to return to the rest of the code. Other times the return behaves as expected. I haven’t seen a pattern in this behaviour.

For now, I’d just be happy to turn off autoindent completely. I haven’t searched through your code yet for a way to do this, but I’ll try that next if there is no easier way.

    Cheers,

    Craig.

    Thanks ,

Issue should be fixed in 2.1.5
