    3) got to box “General”>”Current Role: Administrator”, select Change”;
    4) Choose “Author” (I have 3 test users, 2 of which are standard “Authors” – no changes whatever), press “OK”, leave “All Users”;
    5) Go to “Dashboard, check “Whole Branch”;
    6) Go to box “General”, press “Save”;
    7) Log out, Log in as user (Author);
    8) WP immediately goes to Dashboard;
    9) Curse and try many other combinations including choosing specific user, get nowhere.

  • Hi davereed42,
    Ok. I got it, but is not working for you? What do you expect?

    I expect the user to not be a able to get to the dashboard. This is why I check the boxes to make it so they can’t get to the dashboard, yet there they go. If the plug in can’t stop them from going to the dashboard then why have the option in the plugin?

    Don’t worry about me. I found another plugin to handle my immediate needs. Thanks for your swift reply, BTW.
