[Plugin: Advanced Access Manager] error on de-activate

hi, using v 1.6.3 of AAM plugin. When i de-activate from the plugin admin area i am getting errors displayed on frontend and admin login screen, and cannot log in to the backend – error is

had to restore wordpress installation from backup
I would like to de-activate and delete the plugin (without errors) and re-consider my sites access needs.
