• I have just installed and activated AdRotate. I’ve tried to create an ad, but nothing happens when click Save Ad (except the form fields clear out).

When I go into the Ad New page I see the following error in the Preview section of the form:
    ————————-
    Preview
Error, no Ad ID set! Check your syntax! Note: While this preview is an accurate one, it might look different then it does on the website.
This is because of CSS differences. Your themes CSS file is not active here!
    ————————–

I have no idea what syntax I’m supposed to check as I haven’t even entered any data at this point.

Installed version 3.6.4 of AdRotate and all other plugins have been disabled.

Got the new version and it’s working now. Thanks ??

I have version 3.7.3 and getting the same error. It works fine on one of my other sites but my current site I get that error:

    Preview
Error, no Ad ID set! Check your syntax!

Note: While this preview is an accurate one, it might look different then it does on the website.
This is because of CSS differences. Your themes CSS file is not active here!

    Fix?

I get exactly the same error as zothecula. Its very annoying, I cannot use the plugin at all now!

Its also very disturbing that you cannot change the id of ads or ad groups. I tried to do that manually in the database. It worked locally, but and my online site I get this error instead, and cannot do anything now.

Anyone know how to solve it?

I did inactivate, delete the plugin and went into the database and erased all the adrotate tables. And then i did reinstall the plugin. Now it works. I have to add all my ads again tho. Maybee is it possible to get them back from a backup.

    3.7.3.1 *should* fix this.

I am still having this issue with 3.7.3.2 – when I try to save it says:

“The ad was saved but has an issue which might prevent it from working properly. Review the yellow marked ad.”

There is no yellow marked ad…

I don’t see the similarities with not being able to create an advert and saving an ad and having a configuration issue with it.

So you’re having an entirely different problem.
Review the ad you just made and see if any errors arise when you edit it.

AdRotate not showing as a manu… though the previous ads are working fine… is it conflicting with any plugin…
