[Plugin: Adminimize] problem with the latest version, after upgrade (1h ago)

Now, the version 1.7.18 of Adminimize Plugin is online, please test it!! – many changes and also many new features, include support for Custom Post Type.

Thanks for info and you excellent work Frank. Probably I’ll be testing it this week and get back with some feedback.

I hate to say it, but it’s still not working for me. I’m using WP 3.1.4 and Adminimize 1.7.19.

It’s a pretty simple installation of WP – other plug-ins are Akismet, Contact Form 7, Custom Class Selector, Dynamic Widgets, Reveal IDs, Under Construction, and WP Post Columns. I’m using a modified version of TwentyTen.

When I make a change to the Adminimize settings and then click Update Options, my browser stalls (I get a “not responding” message) and then when the browser is done stalling, the page doesn’t reload to the top like t has for me in past versions of Adminimize.

If there’s anything I can do to help troubleshoot, please let me know.

Can anyone tell me the last stable version of Adminimize, please?

FYI- I have another site in which it’s not working – this one is running WP 3.1.3 and Adminimize 1.7.18.

I have also tested in different live blogs, no problems – works fine. Maybe do you have more informations? Can you test in different browsers.

I tried Chrome 12.0.742.112 and there was no problem with the browser stalling or the page refreshing correctly – yay!

The browser that is having a problem (just so you know) is Firefox 4.0.1.

One of my problems was that back end and global options would work, but write options -page wouldn’t. In Chrome, even though the setting changes would save and the page would refresh, the setting changes would not apply to the editor account. Just for fun, I tried making the changes to write options – post, and it worked! It applied the changes to the PAGE edit screen though. (crazy)

For instance, if I turn off Page Image under Write Options – Page, I can still see the Featured Image box on the page editing screen. However, if I turn off the Post Thumbnail under Write Options- Post, the Featured Image box on the page editing screen goes away.

So it seems I had two problems – one was the browser responding to the “Update Options” button (Firefox bad, Chrome good) and the other problem is Write options for posts applying to pages.

This is using Adminimize 1.7.7 – I used an older version to see if the problems would go away.

My client’s site is working now and I have to launch it, so I can’t really test with it anymore. However, if you want more help testing, please contact me at kim at cruxwire dot com. I’d like to help – this is a great plug-in and I’m sure you are busy.

the page and post are different; you must hide for page and post separated. I have also tested now in the feature version 1.7.20; works. I have deactivated the Featured Image on Page for Editor; works after login as Editor.

I have also tested in Chrome and Firefox, Win and Linux; works also fine. no difference on the update button.
