I eventually was able to get this to work on custom posts, along with pages, by duplicating the plugin by a different name, and replacing the function names to work with the new custom post type. Thank you!

Oh, yeah.. The plan is to add support for custom posts too, but I haven’t had the time yet. Apparently the readme beat me to it! ??

+1 for suggestion by graphicagenda =)

    Nice plugin

The article is bit dated are there any news about Custom Post Typs and Admin Menu Tree Page View?

    Thanks Davelee

If dave wants to see it, I have adapted version .6 of this plugin for custom post types. This does not contain the latest features added in 1.0 and above.

The navigation and search functionality for the CPT still work great. Each custom post type needs its own admin menu tree plugin. I can fork a github of v.6

It is steep behind from 2.2, but thats because my .6 got me where I needed.

hi graphicagenda, It would be very nice if you could put your V.6 version on github.
is it possible to use this version in addition to the current Version for my CPT ?

I’ve left the plugin at Github You’ll have to load that file in text editor and replace all the *cpt* with the name of your custom post type.

    thanks for sharing

Hm, I downloaded the script, made the new plugin, replaced all instances of *cpt* with my custom post type, and instead, in the admin menu, i get a Search Bar titled ‘Pages Search’
