[Plugin: Admin Favicon] Admin-Favicon didn’t work for me

Had the same issue, but setting the link to my theme folder did the trick. Like https://www.mydomain.com/wp-content/themes/mytheme/favicon.ico ??

Admin Favicon is designed to show the favicon in the ADMIN area of your blog. It doesn’t interact with your theme at all. It’s just to make finding your admin page in your open tabs easier. But as object81 pointed out if you drop your favicon into your theme folder WordPress picks it up for your theme.
