    Happy to hear that Eric!!

    Hello,

Icons disappear on excerpts on homepage.

    https://sandiegodealsandsteals.com

Using WordPress 3.4.2 and latest firefox on PC

Also, tried to create my own list of buttons, but they do not display at all. Can create a login for you if needed.

@hhamernik: You can enable it in excerpts by selecting it in Admin panel.

In WordPress Admin console, take AddThis settings from Settings>Addthis. In “Advanced” tab, under the section “Show AddThis on” make sure the “Excerpts” option is enabled.

Let me know if it didn’t work. You can send the login to srijith[AT]addthis.com

I upgraded the AddThis plug-in on my site https://www.canadianbeernews.com/ to 3.0.1 tonight, and suddenly the AddThis icons are no longer appearing on my posts.

I’m running WordPress 3.4.2, and I have the plug-in set to display the icons at the bottom of each post. It was working fine with version 3.0 of the plug-in, but has stopped working after the 3.0.1 upgrade.

This problem is occurring with my regular theme (BloggingNews), as well as a couple of other themes I tested.

Anyone know if there are known issues with AddThis 3.0.1 plug-in on WordPress 3.4.2?

EDIT: Somehow it has started working again. Not sure how or why, but there it is.

But I do have one more question that maybe someone can answer:

In both 3.0 and 3.0.1 versions of the plug-in, the Settings page indicates that the “sharing tool” I’m using (one of the defaults) should include Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Share. But the one being displayed on my posts is still the from the older version of the plug-in, and has Google+ instead of Pinterest.

Not a huge deal, but I’m confused why the version of the Settings page and the version being displayed on my posts are different.

@gregclow: i just set up a site on 3.4.2 and installed the plugin and it is working ok for me. I have the plugin set to display the share bar at the bottom of my posts like you do. I have it set to display on excerpts but NOT the homepage or any other pages.

I would recommend you try some different combinations of options and see if you can drill it down to a problem with a specific option. Try using the sidebar widget as well and see if that works. Otherwise you could always try deactivating it or re-installing it. Was there any hiccups with your installation? Be sure to post your question on the actual AddThis forum site too as the admins may frequent there more often

@gregclow: Good to hear the plugin is working!
The share icon buttons in the settings page is just for illustrating the button styles. The share icon order has nothing to do with the order specified in the settings page.

The order and choice of the icons displayed in the actual pages is selected by addThis algorithm considering several parameters from the visit details to have the highest probability in hitting the share button.

@srijith.v – Thanks for the info, I wasn’t aware of that, but it makes sense.

    Hi there,

AddThis has stopped working for me on:

    https://www.kevinpocock.com.

    Any ideas?

@kempas: I have checked your site and AddThis share buttons are visible under single posts. Please check after article: https://www.kevinpocock.com/3-keys-to-successful-self-employment/#.UZ4X2ytgaZ8

You can enable it for top of your content and in home page from AddThis options in WordPress admin.
