Plugin adds # to the primary domain URL

Why does the IDX plugin add a /# to the URL. Is this problematic for Google and search engine optimization? It seems odd that a plugin would add a trailing “#” after the “/” and we’re not sure why or how to remove it. We don’t want it there, because it’s confusing to anyone who goes to the URL and doesn’t understand why it’s there or where they are in the site if there is a /# after the primary domain name.
