I’m working on a website where I created few pages which displays the blog content (news and blog).

When I enable Yoast SEO, the page with blog content displays left sidebar which should be only visible in Woocommerce shop page (the sidebar is a widget). When I disable YOAST Seo, this sidebar correctly disappears from blog pages. I use Divi theme.

What should I set to have the sidebar hidden on every blog page?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

After very long and deep research I’ve found what’s going on.

Definetly it’s a matter of Yoast SEO plugin, because when it’s deactivated, then there is no problem.

The problem occurs when separate page has the same name as category. For example if we have page named “blog” and category for articles with the same name, Yoast Seo will be strangely displaying page for category instead of separate page.

I couldn’t find any settings in Yoast Seo to fix that. The best is to rename category name to different, similar name for example blog-entries etc.

    Hi @pawelriversedge

We wouldn’t expect that the Yoast SEO plugin would have any output on the frontend sidebar on the posts and pages of your website. We’re not quite sure we understand what the issue is.

Would it be possible for you to provide a screenshot of exactly what you mean? You can use snipboard.io to attach a screenshot and share a link here.
