• For some reason, when this plugin is enabled, it adds this code to the content, just under the header:

    <a href="https://www.websitebuilderinsider.com/">website builder </a>

    Here’s a screenshot of it:

And I can’t find anything in the code or database that even remotely resembles that text or link.

However, this does not happen at all once the plugin is disabled.

You have been hacked. This link is sometimes added. but when the page is cached, the page is saved as a static html file. so the link always shows up.

@emrevona ok, but hacked how? I can’t find that link or text anywhere in any of the files (I do a search on the server across all the files in the folder) or in the database itself. It’s nowhere to be found.

trust me. Don’t waste your time searching for the problem on wpfc.

@emrevona well, where do I look for the problem then instead?

You claim that the installation is hacked, and I did a deep search on it everywhere I could possibly think of in the installation (files and database) and nothing came up.

So this has to be coming from somewhere and has to be identifiable somehow…

I recommend you to use a new fresh wp installation.

@emrevona yeah, no, that’s not gonna work, not even remotely.

We can’t just “use a new fresh wp installation” on 5 sites that are affected by this when they have hundreds of thousands of users, posts, pages and content.

That’s not a viable suggestion or solution at all.

You can try another caching plugin. if you encounter the same result, you make sure that the problem is not caused by wpfc.
