Plugin adds 2 full seconds to average page load time!

    I just tested my website performance with P3 Plugin Profiler and it was a shock to see the Football Pool plugin adds no less than 2 full seconds to the average load time!
    It’s been a while since I tested my website performance, but I don’t think Football Pool was this greedy when I first installed it.
    Any other users have this same problem?

    Plugin load time also depends on the amount of data in the plugin. I do a lot of memory caching and preloading of data when a class is loaded so I can access the data quickly in widgets or shortcodes. But that may not always be the best approach.
    If more users are experiencing this then I guess I will have to do some restructuring of the plugin sometime in the future in a major update.

    The new update actually sped up my load times. I have 2000 users and before the plugin, it took at least 3 to 5 seconds to load the rankings.
