Argh. Dunno why I mentioned turning off Stumble <duh!>. I just would like to turn off the Facebook “like” count. ?? Thx!

There is a setting to enable or disable the facebook count. But that supports for social share bar above and below the post.

The left floating by default will have counter enable as it wont look good without any count.

If you want that for left floating then let me know, I can send you changed code.

For the life of me I cannot find the option to disable the Facebook count. I see the options to adjust the width of the TFG+ buttons (but not for Stumble) and options to turn off the T & G+ counters, but no option to turn off the F counter.

The left floating bar is really neat. I like it. I even positioned it to appear on the right side of my page (no where to put it on the left; see Metarazzi.com), but decided I’d just rather display the above/below bar, primarily because I’m not interested in displaying the “vanity” counts <heh>, but heck yeah, if that can be changed I’d like to know the tweak. I actually tried a tweak on my own and effectively rendered my site useless until I FTP’d and deleted the TFG plugin (and reinstalled). Apparently I need expert code tweak help. ??

Thanks for the assist! I’ve rated it 4*, and will happily give 5* for the code tweaks to hide the counts for all positions I may decide to use it. ??

My Worpress blog does not show an “add plug in” option on the plugins tab. I am not sure I am posting this question in the right place.

Enrique, in a way your question isn’t posted in the right place. This thread is related to a different issue, particularly hiding/displaying the social sharing counts.

Anyway, sounds like you are not using a self-hosted WordPress installation (that is, your blog is hosted on WordPress.com and not installed on your own domain/hosting service?). To discuss further, I recommend that you start your own thread related to your specific issue. ??

Thank you. I did. Sorry for posting here.

I was half asleep when I replied that yest ?? For some reason Twitter was going on in my mind instead of facebook ??

Anyways, Facebook like has 3 options to display.
    1. box_count – The one used in left floating bar (basically vertical)

    2. button_count – The one used above and below the post (horizontal count).

    3. standard – It does not display count box but I guess it has a text sayin “1000 people like this”.

Other than that there are no other options for facebook like. You can give it a go with standard option and see how it works.

To do that, you just need to change one word in tf_display.php

    1. Edit tf_display.php (can do that through your plugin editor on dashboard).

    2. search for button_count (for above and below post) and replace the word with “standard”.

Give it a go.. other than that I am afraid there is no disable count for facebook like.
