[Plugin: Add Linked Images To Gallery] Doesn't work in 3.3.1

Not sure what your end goal was, but I used this:
Hot Linked Image Cacher

It downloads all your images to its own folder and changes the image URL in each post so everything points local.

From there, you can import all of your images into the WP Media Library by just dropping them in. Then go through your database and do a find/replace on everything from the Hot Linked Image folder so it matches the newly imported files in the library.

This will not attach images to the individual posts though — but it does everything else.
