    sir
i had installed the addlinks to facebook from the built in wizard for adding plugins
then i created app in the same manner as mentioned in the screen shot
now i filled the app id and secret id and saved
now when i click on authorize it directs me too a facebook page which further directs me to allow plugin page
but when i click allow it shows an error msg
invalid api credential and get redirected to my site
please tell me what i shoul do
as i had never created an app for facebook so i would like to know that does i have to write some amount of code too
or the things shown in screenshot are sufficient…

  • Did you try to authorize again?
Did you disable all other plugins and tried to authorize again?
Do you have the option ‘Use links API instead of feed API’ (plugin settings tab Admin) enabled?

    1. Yes, tried that several times even creating new credentials.
    2. Sorry no, not an option to me. 27 installed plugins (but none of them using FB API) and I don’t “know” whether all of them keep their settings when disabling/enabling them ??
    3. Tried that option, too. No effect.

Ok, send me the debug info too, so I can see if I can find a common factor.

    Sent ?? Thank you!

Given that in both cases the debug info ‘Get token:’ is missing, my best guess stays that another plugin is intercepting the post back from Facebook.

The message “Invalid API Credentials” is from another (probably Facebook related) conflicting plugin. I don’t know which one, but if you find out, please let me know.

    Hi Marcel,
did you receive my latest debug notice? I have since disabled everything else on the site that would conceivably connect with Facebook and still receive a The session state (467210145) didn't match the state parameter ()

Click on the link ‘Redirect to’ and you will see ‘Invalid API Credentials!’ for a few moments. This appears to be a message from Google+.
