[Plugin: Add Link to Facebook] Facebook plugin post notification plugin = trouble

  • I use this *good* plugin in combination with the ‘post notification’ plugin, which sends e-mails to subscribers containing the post after it has been published.

    This worked fine, until the last update. My subscribers complain that they receive incorrect posts in their e-mail. When I disable the Facebook plugin, the problem does not exists.

    In the e-mail (not on the site: https://www.icfwageningen.org/?p=2322). The ‘Read more’ link leads to a different post. How can this be?

  • Make sure the following plugin option are enabled:

    • Do not execute shortcodes for texts
    • Do not execute filters for texts

    Thanks/bedankt! However, these were already enabled…

    Okay, so that’s not the problem.

    Unfortunately I cannot think of a way how Add Link to Facebook can cause this. Add Link to Facebook does nothing with excerpts (read more stuff). There was a bug a few versions ago, but I assume you are running the latest version. Please send me the debug information as explained in the last question of the FAQ and I will see if I can discover something.

    you know how to use the plugin “post notification” …?!

    I’m completely stuck with it. It was installed on my site and now they no longer support its forum. I’m trying to transition to MailChimp and want to export the subscriber names from PN but can’t figure out where to find them.

    Can anyone help?
