Plugin Active for Logged in Users only

I while back I posted a question on how to setup a plugin that I want active only for logged in users.

The 2 solutions posted worked.

But they don’t any more, I assume because of changes in the newer version of WordPress.

Does anyone know why it stopped working and how to fix it?
