[Plugin: Active Directory Integration] Bulk import – unable to import from security group

    Hello!

    I have ‘active directory integration’ integrated and working within my domain infrastructure and it works great.

    However, i am attempting to bulk import users from AD through use of a security group. I have created the security group and added users into this group that aren’t users within wordpress. I have entered the name of the security group, but when i try the bulk import url, i get the error “Error retreiving group members for group ‘my group’

    Thats all i get! Its not helping me find more on why it has gone wrong and i am stuck! My user is athenticated by the plugin as i get as far as this appearing;

    “adLDAP object created”

    Is there a way of finding out the process of what happens (outputing to an error log?) or does someone have a easy solution??

    Please help! I have a lot of users i need to import into wordpress and i dont fancy doing it manually!!!

    Me too. Anyone figure it out?

    In the Active Directory Integration Settings, go to the first tab. Make sure your Base DN string includes the group you are trying to Bulk Import. For instance, my Base DN was ou=users,dc=secret,dc=com”. I made my settings less granular by taking out the ou=users and made my entry “dc=secret,dc=com”.

    Your security group and the users both must be “under” the same Base DN. So if you use only “dc=mydomain,dc=local” everything’s fine as oicisonline described above. Another solution would be to move your security group “under” your Base DN.
