Plugin Activation Triggering "Unexpected Output" Warning

Testing the free version before deciding on whether or not to purchase the Pro version. Upon installation/activation on a fresh WP site (v.4.2.3 with default Twenty Fifteen theme) the following red error message is displayed:
The plugin generated 240 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.
