After noticing that (at least) many pages didn’t show (getting the message:

“There has been a critical error on this website.

    Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.“),

I deactivated the plugins a. Namaste! LMS and b. Watu Quiz.

    The pages appeared again.

I then tried to activate the Plugins again starting with Namaste!. The system refuses to activate producing the message:

“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a?fatal error.”

It is a Multi Site installation and has the latest versions for both PI:

    namaste! 2.5.9.9

    Watu 3.3.8.4?

I also tried to activate 1st Watu and both at the same time. In all cases I get the same refusal reply from the system.

    Thank you!

Thank you prasunsen. It must have been Buddypress. Switched it off. Now everything back to normal

    The same problem again.

In a new installation (multisite again) and after I have deleted BuddyPress, I attempt to activate Namaste and Watu and it refuses. Gives the message: “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a?fatal error.”

Looking into the error-logs I see the following (under Showing latest entries for file:?/home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-admin/network/error_log):

You need to activate the plugin as a site admin, not as a network admin.

    thank you very much!

I also have another site (where I have them already installed) and a lot of work done in there. The plugins are already active. Also a multisite. Now they need to be updated. There is no option to perform the update from the site. Only from the network. I hesitate to update. Should I go ahead?

Updating is fine, only activation needs to happen per site.
