Plugin activation issue

    Hello there,

    Hope you are doing well in this situation.

    I am trying to active “Email Subscribers & Newsletters” plugin, but it’s return an following error. Please check and let me know what is the issue.

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Hi Mohit,

    I am really sorry for the delay in my response.

    From the error log info, it looks like the Email Subscribers plugin isn’t able to write its logging information due to missing write permissions to the uploads folders.

    Can you please confirm if the uploads folder inside the wp-content directory has correct read/write permissons? Also please make changes accordingly in the permissions if required.

    Adding to my previous reply,

    You can also check if permissions are set correctly or not on the uploads folder by uploading a file from the Media menu in the admin dashboard.

    You can read more about required file permissions and how to change them in the overall WordPress enviroment from here.

    Hi Mohit,

    We have further investigated the issue and found that in one edge case this issue was still occurring though the right permissions have been set up on the uploads folder.

    We have released this fix in the latest version 4.7.1.

    Please update to the latest version and let us know how it goes.
