Plugin Activation Error Handling

  • Hi,

    I need help developing my plugin, specifically when it comes to error handling and plugin activation. Specifically I am curious how to determine if my plugin was activated normally, or with the Network Activate feature in WordPress MultiSite? Also is there a preferred method or class for stopping the plugin activation hook and sending an error to be displayed in the WordPress Admin Plugin Panel? I was unable to find any documents online to help me solves these questions, hopefully a core developer or a developer more experienced with WordPress can help me out. Thanks.
