    Nope, did not. Glad it’s not just me.

    I just installed it this morning and they are working fine for me. Do you have the PRO version? You need the Pro version for this to work.

    Is that true? Because it doesn’t mention that anywhere on any of the pages shortcodes are mentioned.

    Well, in event-rocket/inc/shortcodes.php on line 81-85 it says this in the comments:

    /**
    * Set up our widget-based shortcodes: if PRO is not enabled those shortcodes won’t actually
    * be registered with WordPress. If PRO *is* enabled, the PRO list widget supercedes the
    * core equivalent.
    */

    In any case, with PRO it works fine! It’s an inexpensive pro plugin and worth the upgrade regardless.

    Ok, thanks for the digging, the description should be updated to reflect that. I’ll keep looking for another calendar that supports shortcodes then (not worth $65 to me).

    I had this same problem and read the posts here, so I ordered Events Calendar Pro, installed it, enabled it, installed event rocket and tried the shortcode and it still doesn’t work. Wishing I hadn’t paid for the upgrade.

    Sorry for the confusion everyone: yes, to be able to use shortcodes for Events Calendar PRO widgets you will need to have Events Calendar PRO installed. I’ll update the FAQs shortly to make this a little more obvious ??

    Sorry for the rough ride! At this point it sounds like you actually figured things out but let me know if that’s not the case and you need more help.

    Hi – I’m still having this problem. I’ve got Events Calendar PRO and Event Rocket but the shortcodes aren’t working. My version of PRO is 3.2 and the message ‘Event Rocket requires a suitable version of The Events Calendar to be activated in order to provide full functionality (data cleanup tools will still be available, though).’ appears at the top of my Plugins screen.

    Is this the problem?

    Actually, I’ve altered the launcher code to look for a version of Calendar 3.2 and below rather than the 3.4 that was there and it works fine now.

    Not ideal, of course, but it saves me having to upgrade the Calendar which currently would break as my developers have styled it fairly substantially.

    That’s right, 3.2 isn’t “officially” supported – glad you worked around it though ??
