"Plugin Activated"…. but it actually isn't.

  • I’ve disabled metadata for Facebook, Twitter Google+ in Yoast SEO >> Social.
    Double checked after reloading the page.

    On Plugins >> Installed Plugins, I select “Activate”.

    I get a green “plugin activated” and no error messages or even warnings.

    Then I refresh the Installed Plugins page, and the option to Activate the plugin is back.

    I deleted the plugin and all files, re-added it.. still the same problem.

    That’s a strange problem.

    Do you have everything updated? WordPress, themes, plugins, etc..?

    Can you please try to temporarily disable all the other plugins, use the default WordPress theme, check if the problem persists and get back to us on this issue?
