It currently isn’t possible to add the plugin to the homepage. The author information is pulled from the individual WordPress posts and pages, so it won’t work on the home, category or archive pages.

I might be able to add an option to display the site admin on pages with no author, but that would require some significant development so I wouldn’t be able to get to it for a while.

    I see…

That would solve my problem and I would be very happy if you did that!
But in my case, as I’m the only author in the blog, I was trying to tweak the plugin that all author requests goest directly to my userId hardcoded, so the plugin wouldn’t need to be in a post to get the ID. And then, I could just make it display in all pages. But I don’t have any experience with WordPress plugins, neither PHP.
Well, I guess that I’ll just let it that way, it isn’t that bad.
    But thanks for the reply!

I wanted the same so I just removed || is_home() from line 58 of the ataa-widget.php file
since the home page is a page and it does have an author, it works fine for me.

Thanks Daiv, I made the change you did and I also have the author widget on my “home” page.
