    Hi Overthere,
this week WF came up with the alerts for ‘Advanced Custom Fields: Options Page’ and ‘Advanced Custom Fields: Repeater Field’

I contacted ACFs support who told me “these add ons were never listed on the WP plugin repo, they were only available for download on the ACF account dashboard and they still are. The add ons have also been moved to the pro version but you will still receive updates should any compatibility issues come up in future.”

Because I don’t know how Wordfence determines the abandoned state of a plugin, is there any solution to this?

Can the developer do anything to tell WF about their plugins? Cause they are tested with the latest WP and don’t give any hassle.

  • Can you supply the plugin slugs for these? This would be the name of the plugin in the wp-content/plugin folder on your site. For example the slug for Advanced Custom Fields is advanced-custom-fields.

    Thanks!

    Sure:
    acf-options-page
    acf-repeater

Thanks. Neither of these show up in a plugin search at www.remarpro.com. That’s where we would be comparing them to. Can I ask if you got them with ACF from the ACF site? It kind of looks like they are part of the ACF plugin now. Or did you originally get them from the www.remarpro.com site and have used them since?

Yep, I assumed WF checks vs the WP-repo, and no I couldn’t find them either.

As if to if they were once listed here I cannot say ’cause I havn’t build the site myself. But I would guess so, because WF has a concrete date it’s regarding to.

Plugin Name: Advanced Custom Fields: Options Page
    Current Plugin Version: 2.1.0
    Last Updated: 24. July 2018
Details: It was last updated 2 years ago and tested up to WordPress 4.9.0. […]

So what should I do, just ignore it?

Yes, in this case I’d say ignore it. My guess is that WP has archived them so that they aren’t visible anymore but the plugin slug is more or less reserved. What probably is a better option would be to remove these and update ACF which has them included (though maybe part of an add on they sell).

@wfsupport I am replying here because my request has been abandoned. Please look at it and respond. My Wordfence scan is failing. I submitted activity reports for several websites to you email a long ago. Please check
