    Hello,

We are using a mailchimp plugin that we always do for every site. This site throws this error:

This means that the IP address that your hosting provider uses for outbound cURL connections made by PHP is blacklisted by the Akamai firewall. Akamai is the firewall Mailchimp and many other major websites use to protect their servers, which is why this is somewhat harder to fix.

Note that many hosting providers use shared IP addresses, meaning that your website IP is shared with a number of their users. It’s possible that another client of your hosting provider did something to get the IP blacklisted, completely out of your control.

After checking my IP address with https://mxtoolbox.com it shows it is not blocked.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

MX Toolbox doesn’t show if your IP is listed by Akamai firewall. I don’t think any place does.

I recommend asking your hosting provider for another IP address or buying your own private ip for the website.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, please let me know!

This is the response I got from my hosting provider:

    Hi,

The shared IP that your website uses is actually not the issue here. Even if a new dedicated IP is assigned on your account, all outgoing requests for the website will go through the server IP as this is the way outgoing connections work on our server environment.

The MailChimp request is blocked for the server IP and not your shared IP address.

In regards to your other websites, they do not have the same problem since they are located on a different server than the current website nowtownsbrooklin.com.

    Hey @mattpugs1993,

That is a bit strange response since they need to setup the server so that all requests are made from the dedicated if any assigned to you.

I regret to say there is not much we can do about this from our end.

Is there anyway to get that specific IP Address off the blacklist?

    Hey @mattpugs1993,

Please note that we are not MailChimp.com. We are a different company. Only MailChimp.com can remove the IP off their black list but I doubt they will do it.
