Plugin creates multiple automatic redirects to the same destination. e.g./2010/12/257/feed/ redirects to the page – (over 500 in one day from a bot)
It does always redirect to the same page /2010/12/the-same-page/ but instead of logging e.g. 500 redirects to the the first created re-direct – it creates a new redirect each time…
End result – hundreds of auto redirects to remove manually
This plugin is excellent in concept (the other WP 404 plugins are way behing in versatilty), but definitely needs several things fixed. I’m using it on 4 WP sites but am having second thoughts now and may just go to a 404 logger and manual rediects with htaccess. I really cannot donate until the bugs are ironed out.

  • I found the bug that was causing the duplicated redirects. Most of them were due to a logic mishap in the code on my part.

The logic has been fixed in version 1.3, which should be out later today or tomorrow.

Great work. I’ve updated already and will see how it works out.
I’m going to mark this topic as RESOLVED.
Still the best 404 plugin for WordPress – I’ve converted most of my WP clients to 404 Redirected and will definitely encourage them to support the plugin…
