[Plug-in: WP Calendar] Sync blog post to event… and publish?

The fact that WP Calendar can automatically create a calendar event from a blog post works especially well for the site I’m doing. However, after I create the blog post, fill out the WP Calendar box, and publish it, the event is created but not published. I have to go over to the actual event listing under Calendar and publish the draft that was automatically created.

Is there a way to make the event publish the same time as the blog post?
