• I have Wordfence installed to help with security, and this tells me that the Huge It Slider plug-in has been removed from www.remarpro.com. I cannot find it either on www.remarpro.com. This obviously has security implications. I am currently using Huge IT Slider v.4.0.6

Please tell me whether this version has been compromised or is simply not being updated.

    regards

  • I added a post asking same thing earlier today and now am no longer seeing my post…

I also would like to know if this version has been compromised or is simply not being updated…

Same here. We also need to know whether or not there is a security issue with this plug-in, or not. Because some of our clients use it and we need to know whether or not to urgently find a replacement (ie. if there’s a risk); or if it can wait a while (ie. if it has just been removed due to inactivity by the developer or something)

… fingers crossed someone replies here with some info on what’s happened

Same here! What is going on?

Well, thisn’t any good, is it? Can anyone recommend another slider plug-in?

So I was looking at the list of posts and saw one when Huge IT Support had made a reply a while back. When you click through to their profile it says “Forum Role: Blocked”

I’m guessing WP has to think you are a bad guy if they block you from replying or participating in your own support page… Anyway- it looks like they can’t reply here even if they want to…

    ElviraKate, I am trying MetaSlider.

    Hi all,
just got in touch with the developer directly, and he’s replied with:

    Thanks for using our plugins.
Nowdays we have some misunderstandings with WordPress community.
Hope soon all problems will be solved and we will be back on www.remarpro.com.
Anyway please be sure that there is no problem with plugins functionality.

Yeah the Blocked-status on the Forum means he can’t actually reply to any of the forum posts. But Huge-IT have a lot of active plug-ins on WP, and they are all still available (as far as I know), it’s just that this particular one was taken off for some reason.

I don’t know much more than that.

    Let’s see what happens…..

    Thanks for sharing Daniel!

Thanks from me too. I have just broken my wrist ?? so fiddling around with WP plug-ins is no fun right now. I’ll hold on and hope that everything works out. And will keep subscribed to this thread, so please everyone – especially Daniel! – say if you find any security problems arising from it.

I’ve scanned with Wordfence and Anti-Malware from GOTMLS.NET and neither has found any red flags.

    You’re most welcome ??
Actually just heard back from them again (I’d pointed out to him there’s confusion in the forums as many don’t know what’s happening, so naturally we’d presume something’s up with the plug-in, etc) and he has replied with:

They have blocked our official account too.
Maybe today we open another one to answer forum questions as well.

    That was 15th Feb.

It’s pretty strange though. I wonder what actually happened and why they blocked him. I hope it’s not some kind of petty squabble between the higher-up moderators of the WP Forum or something. We don’t need that sort of thing in our community. (Not that I’m accusing anyone of anything! Just saying’ … heheh).

Hope they can fix this communication issue soon,
I will wait for a month, It was a good plugin
    come back Huge -IT!!!
