    Hey Tom!

I just patched the plugin for compatibility with your theme. Try updating to version 2.2.6 and let me know if that doesn’t fix it.

If it does fix it, a positive review and maybe buy me a coke?

Have a great day. Thanks for using my plugin!

I will gladly donate to buy you a coke ?? Great customer service and you deserve it.

My only question is: how do I upgrade to the newer version? Plugin does not say there is an update. Nor is their a download as I can tell.

    thx

Ok – I found the download.

Should I be deactivating and deleting the old one and then upload the new version?

That just means you are too quick on the draw. Your site doesn’t check constantly for plugin updates, and it already checked today.

If you uninstall and reinstall it, it’ll get you updated.

    Thanks!

Very cool! Will do that. Will keep you posted.

Ok – when I went back to re-install it was already asking me if I wanted to update. So all I had to do was update.

I have mine set for 1 day. Do I need to wait to see it take effect because when I go to it it is still displaying the date.

If so, I will keep you posted come tomorrow.

It looks like you have some caching going on, because the old CSS file is still being delivered.

Are you running a caching plugin or a CDN? if so, flush the cache and it should work, if you are running v2.2.6 of my plugin.

Scratch that… It’s working now. You just need to hard-refresh your browser or try in a different browser.

We’ve almost got it. The hard-refresh worked (I never knew about this). It worked for the individual post, but look what happened when I was just on the blog home page:

It is still there. I will buy you 2 cokes if you can get rid of this one.

Let me say – your customer service rocks!

Well, we had a good thing going for a while there. We’ve finally hit the limits of what my plugin can do.

As I mention in the FAQ, this plugin doesn’t help with archives and the blog home page, or any other page of the site other than single posts. It’s a long story, but the short version is that there is no standard way for WordPress themes to display the date for archive pages. Some use the oldest post, some use the youngest post, and either way, none of them allow you to dynamically remove the date from just some of the posts.

My plugin helps with folks who show up to your site directly from Google/Bing/etc.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks so much for the donation! I didn’t realize you are in Raleigh! I’m in Cary/Morrisville.

    Have a great day!

No kidding. My email is [email protected]. Shoot me an email and perhaps we can help each other in our pursuits.
