Plug-in Hacked?

    I recently posted that I was getting constantly spammed and it turned out I needed a business account. I set one up using a NEW EMAIL ADDRESS. My email address is no longer showing up on the PayPal donation page, but I’m now getting spammed with the new email address! How is this possible when no one has it? The only two places it exists is in this plug-in and on PayPal!

    Where do you think it’s coming from?

    Anyone else having this problem?

    Did you create a brand new e-mail address that did not belong to other services? Can you confirm that your site, server and or third party e-mail software has not been hacked?

    @denizen This is not an issue we have encountered before, and we haven’t received similar reports from other users. It’s possible that your server may have been compromised. We recommend reaching out to your hosting provider to review the access logs and check for any unauthorized file modifications. In many cases, when a site is compromised, attackers may alter files to execute malicious actions.
