• Hi all,

after having upgraded to WP 3.9 I’m having 2 major problems:

1st: text editor problem, which I’m trying to resolve following these steps:

    – Deactivate ALL plugins.
    – Switch to default TwentyFourteen theme.
    – Manually empty browser cache.

The problem is that I’m finally not able to deactivate 2 of the 6 plug-in I’m using:

    – Contact form 7
    – Option Tree

When I select “deactivate” I can see the page uploading but they remain active.

Any suggestion about how to proceed?

I’ve tried to move ahead with the procedure to resolve the text editor problem, but it’s still not working.

2nd: As told I’m using noly 5 plug-ins, and they all are updated…but I still see a notification (1) which says that I need to update a plug-in.
When I click on it…it seems like all plug ins are updated.
    Any idea?

Can it be part of the text editor problem? Maybe a hidden plug -in?

    Thanks in advance,

    Have a nice day.

    Francesco

  • One way to force a deactivation is to use ftp to rename the folder for a plugin. However, some plugins will not be completely deactivated unless they are deleted.
