Plug in causing white screen error

  • When I have the Better WP Security plugin active on my site https://www.internal-balance.com, I get a white screen, that says error in the top left corner, I only get this intermittently.

    I use this plug in on several websites, and have never had this issues before. Typically, I use a standard list of plugins for all my sites. The difference in this one is my client wanted a translator, so we added ‘Transposh Translation Filter’ My guess is that there is some kind of incompatibility between the two or maybe it is just a setting within one of the plug ins. Any ideas?

    have you checked to see if ithemes banned your ip address?

    The only time it shows “error” is when your IP is banned by the plugin. When your getting the error page try using a machine from a different network or through a proxy and see if the site loads… if it does then your ip was banned.

    Hi All,

    Could you try clearing your web host error logs and see if that helps? We just had another user report that this helped them.

    I also had this problem on a client’s site.

    I logged in via FTP, moved the “ithemes-security” folder from plugins to uploads.

    Still not fixed! Had this same problem, deleted backupbuddy through the FTP, and gained access back. UGH!
