• When I have the Better WP Security plugin active on my site https://www.internal-balance.com, I get a white screen, that says error in the top left corner, I only get this intermittently.

I use this plug in on several websites, and have never had this issues before. Typically, I use a standard list of plugins for all my sites. The difference in this one is my client wanted a translator, so we added ‘Transposh Translation Filter’ My guess is that there is some kind of incompatibility between the two or maybe it is just a setting within one of the plug ins. Any ideas?

  • I have the same problem

I have also experienced this issue today. I’ve used this plugin on several sites and never had it before. But this particular site also uses a secure content plugin. Not sure if there is a conflict here or what?

Ditto. Subscribing to this thread in hopes of a solution.

Mike, have you used this plugin before? I have used it on several sites with no problem. But it isn’t working on one specific site. I haven’t had trouble with any other sites in the past week except that one. I think it may be a plugin conflict so I just disabled WP Security. But I’d be interested to see the plugins being used by other people that are having trouble with it.

Never used it before. I have several plugins specific to my industry, as well as common ones like W3TC, WordPress SEO, Akismet, etc, etc.

Maybe post your plugins and we’ll see what we have in common.

PrivateContent by Luca Montanari seems to be the one it’s conflicting with. Though we have quite a few plugins on this site, including several I have never used before. I haven’t had time to go through and test it with everyone one. So can’t be 100% sure that’s the one.

Our “base” install on which I have never had an issue has the following plugins.

    • amr shortcode any widget
    • Anti-spam
    • Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
    • Digg Digg
    • Google Webfonts For Woo Framework
    • Google XML Sitemaps
    • Gravity Forms
    • MaGeek Lab Google Maps
    • PhotoMosaic
    • Redirection
    • Revolution Slider
    • Social Media Widget
    • Testimonials WordPress plugin
    • Video User Manuals
    • Widget Ninja
    • WooThemes Helper
    • WordPress SEO

We found out that the problem appears when you access the site on a computer and mobile both using the same IP on the router connection.

We disabled 404 detection and we didn’t encounter the problem anymore.

@jwiere03, the only plugins we have in common are WordPress SEO and Revolution Slider.

@ clickmarketing, I don’t see what using a computer and mobile from the same IP has to do with 404 detection. Very strange.

    joining the “me too” bandwagon.

I’ve been using this quite awhile and just now got the white screen.

I disabled other plugins, loaded Better-WP-Security first, then one-by-one added other plugins EXCEPT BackupBuddy. Up until BackupBuddy, all was ok.

Once I added BackupBuddy I got the white screen again.

ODD since BackupBuddy is an iThemes product.

    all plugins are:

    Better WP Security
    BackupBuddy
    Wordpress SEO
    Display widgets
    Social Media Feather
    Black Studio Tiny MCE

@dianeb I had the problem come up several times before I figured out which plugin it was. I disabled all of them and got things running again and then had the issue come up again later in the same day. This happened three of four times. So I’m thinking if you had it happen once then it will probably pop up again soon if you leave Better WP activated.

@jwiere03 (and all) It seems like the conflict is with BackupBuddy. I posted on their support forum and will post here if there’s a resolve.

I think I’m going to look into other Security Software in the meanwhile.

Another solution here to try if still not solved,

This is more server related, the caused of PHP 5.4 ?? Hopes it can help someone
