Plug in caused website failure

Hello! Please help me with this problem. I am not really knowledgeable in systems, codes, etc. Please bear with me.

I recently installed a plug in called wp-mobile-detector and as soon as I installed it this message keeps on appearing:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in /home/mhd-01/www.lamave.org/htdocs/lamave-wp/wp-content/plugins/wp-mobile-detector/functions.php on line 1121

And now this message appears:

Error establishing a database connection

I don’t know what I did or have to do. Please help!
